Meet Kelly

Hey there! My name is Kelly Efstathiou and I have been playing piano for 30+ years. I am married to Nick Efstathiou, the head band director of the JDHS "Pride of the Pinelands" marching band, a mom to 2 sweet kids named Alayna and Ace, and a dog mom to a precious cockapoo named Bella. I am a worship leader at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, GA and a former singer/songwriter in the duo, Cori & Kelly. I have recently rebranded as solo artist, Kelly Alayna, and love to travel to Nashville to write and record often. I am also currently learning how to play the mandolin!

From August 2019 to May 2022, I was an elementary music educator within the Jeff Davis County school system in Hazlehurst, GA. I grew to love my K-5th grade babies and had a blast teaching music foundation, xylophones and beginning band. Recently, I felt a calling to leave public education and start my own music school. My husband and I purchased a beautiful baby grand piano (one of my bucket list items) and Kelly's Music School was born! 
 
I have experience with playing and reading sheet music as well as the stage band chord style. I would LOVE to teach you or your child how to do the same! There is nothing like being able to express yourself through music and sharing that gift with others. I offer private piano lessons starting at age 6, as well as a "Little Tike" group lesson for ages 3 - 5 years old. Spots are currently filled, but you can register to be placed on the waiting list. As soon as a spot opens up, I will contact families from this list.
